Melbicom, an EU-headquartered infrastructure provider based in Vilnius, Lithuania, opened a new location in Marseille, France (MRS1) in September 2026. Linux and Windows Cloud VPS, dedicated servers and custom server builds can now be ordered in Marseille, which has also been added as a point of presence on Melbicom's Premium and Volume CDN networks.
Facility and network
MRS1 is a Tier III data center with 13,500 m² of space and 16 MW of power. Melbicom connects there to the France-IX Marseille and DE-CIX Marseille internet exchanges, with IP transit from Tata Communications and Telecom Italia Sparkle. Traffic between Marseille and Melbicom's Paris, Frankfurt and Singapore locations stays on the company's own backbone. Marseille is also a landing point for subsea cables to North Africa, the Middle East and Asia, including AAE-1, SEA-ME-WE 4 and PEACE.
Cloud VPS
Marseille VPS run on KVM with AMD EPYC or Intel Xeon Platinum processors and local NVMe storage. Each plan includes one IPv4 and 16 IPv6 addresses, a port of up to 1 Gbps and 5 TB of monthly traffic. Once the allowance is used, speed is limited to 100 Mbps and no overage is charged. Users can install from a custom ISO, bring their own IP ranges, add a BGP session, or connect instances through vMesh, a private Layer 2 network of up to 1 Gbps with VLAN tagging.
Dedicated servers and CDN
Dedicated servers in Marseille are offered with network ports from 1 to 100 Gbps, and BGP sessions are included at no extra cost. Custom builds can be specified by CPU, memory, storage and GPU. Content delivered through Melbicom's CDN can now be cached in Marseille on both the Premium and Volume networks, wherever the origin server is hosted.
Test the network
Routing and throughput from MRS1 can be checked before ordering with the test IPv4 address 192.77.253.2 and a 1000 MB test file. Plans and specifications are listed on the Marseille VPS and Marseille infrastructure pages.
