General

• All prices are for infrastructure in the US east for US providers and Europe west for European providers unless mentioned otherwise.
• The "Always Free" tier is subtracted from the total cost by default for all services. You can turn it off in the form.
• The limited time free tier that some providers offer after sign up is never subtracted.
• All prices are on-demand.
• Network egress may be priced higher to regions other than North America and Europe.
• Prices are indicative and may change over time.
• We assume 720 hours in a month.

Storage

• All storage prices are for LRS (locally redundant storage).
• No storage backup or snapshot cost is included.
• Egress from Object Storage is assumed to go to the internet.

Load Balancer

• All prices are for a regional application load balancer.
• Load balancer processed data is assumed to be evenly distributed across the hours in a month.
• Some providers charge data processing based on number of GB/hour, others charge on the max bandwidth (Mbps) during an hour. The form takes a number of GB/hour and converts that number to Mbps for providers that require it assuming an average 65% utilization of the bandwidth.
• For load balancers charged by LCU, we assume the limiting factor is either the data volume or the number of active connections. Other factors like number of requests per second and number of rules evaluated for each request may impact the number of charged LCUs as well in some situations.
