Melbicom deploys a new PoP in Tokyo, Japan

Melbicom, an EU-headquartered Infrastructure-as-a-Service provider, has launched a new Virtual Private Server (VPS) location in Tokyo, Japan.
This location delivers lower latency, higher resilience, and local data residency options for users across the Asia-Pacific region.

Low-Latency Infrastructure

The Tokyo facility connects directly to Japan’s primary Internet Exchanges — BBIX, JPIX, and JPNA — enabling short, redundant routes between major Asian carriers and international networks.
These connections reduce latency by an average of 71% compared to routes served from other APAC hubs.

Technical Features and Network Capacity

Tokyo VPS instances run on enterprise-grade hardware with dedicated vCPU, RAM, and storage allocations to ensure consistent performance. Each node is backed by a 100 Gbps network interface, redundant uplinks, and transparent bandwidth tiers that simplify capacity planning.

Deployment and Access
Tokyo VPS plans are available immediately through Melbicom’s website. Customers can provision Linux or Windows instances, and scale infrastructure within minutes.

This expansion adds to Melbicom’s existing presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, offering businesses improved proximity to end users and predictable, high-performance connectivity throughout the region.
