Contabo Launches a New VPS Portfolio: Core, Performance, and Max Performance

Contabo has restructured its VPS product range into three separate lines: Core VPS, Performance VPS, and Max Performance VPS. 

Core VPS runs on Contabo's existing infrastructure and is sized for workloads without high compute demands - web hosting, CMS deployments, email and file servers, development environments, and backup tasks. 

Performance VPS is built on current-generation AMD EPYC processors with NVMe SSD storage as standard across all configurations and network bandwidth up to 1 Gbit/s per instance. It is suited to databases under sustained load, CI/CD pipelines, and API services handling real traffic. 

Max Performance VPS is a repositioned version of Contabo's VDS product. It provides dedicated CPU cores and RAM per tenant instance with no resource sharing across the host. It targets production environments with SLA requirements, high-traffic applications, SaaS platforms, and multi-tenant architectures. 

Background 
In late 2025 and into 2026, the AI boom led to a sharp increase in RAM and hardware prices across the hosting industry and the trend continues. Contabo used this as an opportunity to expand and restructure its VPS portfolio into three lines, each built around a specific hardware profile and workload type.
