dataforest cloud is now listed on VPSBenchmarks

dataforest cloud is a self-service cloud platform based in Germany that went live in January 2026. It currently runs one region, fra01, in Frankfurt, and further locations will follow customer demand, with a focus on Europe.

The platform's virtual servers are called Seeds. They run on KVM, are provisioned in seconds and billed by the hour with no minimum term, and their storage sits on a Ceph cluster that keeps three replicas on separate storage servers.

Seeds come in three lines:

• Entry, shared vCPUs on Intel Xeon Gold, starting at 1 vCPU, 2 GB of DDR4 ECC memory and 20 GB of storage for €4.07/month

• Standard, shared vCPUs on AMD EPYC 9655 (Turin), starting at 2 vCPUs, 8 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and 80 GB of storage for €13.89/month

• Performance, dedicated vCPUs on AMD EPYC 9575F (Turin), starting at 2 vCPUs, 16 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and 80 GB of storage for €38.00/month

Every Seed includes its own IPv6 /64 at no charge. Prices are net and include one IPv4 address, with every further address at €1.00 net per month.

Seeds are managed in a web console or through a public REST API. Each one includes basic DDoS protection at no additional cost, with attack traffic filtered at the network edge before it reaches the Seed.

The platform is operated by dataforest, a German infrastructure provider with more than 15 years of hosting experience. The company runs its own network under AS58212 and built the cloud in-house, and new features and products follow from the requests that customers file directly in the platform. Alongside the cloud, dataforest provides custom infrastructure for business customers, from dedicated servers to colocation and private clouds.
